Lachie is one of Dopamine Lab’s sponsored athletes, and this year he’s taking on the Melbourne Marathon while raising funds for Movember. We’re proud to support Lachie as he runs with purpose, honouring loved ones and helping fund vital mental health programs.
In Lachie’s own words:

Hey I’m Lachie and this year, I’m running in the Melbourne Marathon and raising money for Movember in the process, and for me, this run means far more than just crossing a finish line.
Mental health has had a huge impact on my life. I’ve lost two of my cousins, Quinn and Hunter, to their own personal struggles. They were both deeply loved and cared for, yet like so many people, they were fighting battles that weren’t always obvious to those around them.
Losing Quinn and Hunter changed the way I look at mental health. It showed me how common these struggles are, and how often people feel like they have to face them alone. Too many people, especially men, feel pressure to stay quiet or “push through,” even when they’re struggling.
That’s why I’m raising money for Movember. Movember funds vital mental health and suicide prevention programs that encourage people to speak up, seek help, and support one another. Their work saves lives, and it helps break down the stigma that still surrounds mental illness.
Running this marathon is my way of honouring Quinn and Hunter, and of turning something painful into something positive. Every kilometre is for them and for everyone who’s struggling silently right now.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, you’re helping fund programs that provide real support and real hope. Your contribution could help start a conversation, provide access to care, or even save a life.
